About Us

Me and Källtorpet's Elektra at Madrid Cat Show December 2002 - That was my first Exotic Short Hair and love at first sight! Lena Fritz her breeder is behind us, Thanks Lena for coming down with her from Falun- Sweden to Madrid!

My name is Nina Kauko and I was born in Helsinki - Finland back in 1965. When I was 10 years old, our family moved to Stockholm - Sweden, to a lovely place called Saltsjöbaden, just few kilometers from the Centrum of Stockholm.

We always had pets in my family, being my parents special favorites ones  the English Bulldogs, a lovely breed!! But as time passed my parents moved out to a house with a huge garden, and let me and my brother to share the flat! But it was empty!! No dogs to meet you.

That time I had the opportunity to be a co-owner of a persian girl, Wilde Pipers Ariadna Mijas Rose was her name (Shortly we called her Chloè)  She was the loveliest little persian girl and her colour was black tortie smoke! After that I have always had a smoke persian at home!

So I started to show her and get into the world of breeding and showing; that was back in 1984. But as our lives change, mine did as well and in 1990 I moved  to Tenerife, Canary Islands, (Spain) for good and most of my cats were placed out with good friends in pet homes!

1999 I could not longer resist to not have a persian in my life - So I started to look around for new foundation cats - And of course - I started to look around in Sweden - That's how I become in contact with Yvonne Drougge @ Fina Stina's cattery in Kosta! Thousand Thanks dear Yvonne, without you I wouldn't never found my lovely Källtorpet's Kim! She was my first silver tabby persian ever - and her colour still spellbound me as she's a black tortie silver spotted! Lena Fritz @ Källtorpet's Cattery, You know that I can’t ever thank you enough for not only one but for two lovely girls from you!!!

Not long after she come to us I found a lovely red & white boy in Sweden as well - Rocheas Little Drummer Boy! Inga Britt and Arne @ Rocheas - You know I love that boy!! And now he's even happier at north of the Island with David and his cats!!! Trummis gave us so MUCH!

Now we have some interesting cats here to continuo our breeding program with some stunning cats from my dear friends Ignacio & Tomas @ Sumava Cattery! And a lovely little tortiesmoke from Athelstones - Thank You Anna-Lena and Mats!!

 We do hope that the future will give us and our kitten buyer’s lovely and healthy cats!!!
