The Diocesan Delegation of the
Apostleship of the Sea offers the following other services to
the seafarers in its centre Stella Maris :
Social assistance :
A team of social assistants take
the necessary steps to help needy seafarers and their families. They also offer assistance
to the abandoned crews and establish contacts with other charitable
organisations as Caritas, Red Cross or some governmental departments
as the Conselleria de Treball de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
Club at the Stella
Maris centre :
The Club has a bar, some games, snooker and table tennis, public telephone,
money exchange, a littel basar and souvenirs. The also have a selection of books at the disposal of
seafarers than want to interchange between ships. The Visitor's Book have the statistics
of the number of ships which have visited our center, as well as the nationalities of their crews.
Don't forget to sign them when visiting our club. And for people who want to keep fit, we have an
small basketball court at his disposal.
Internet coffee shop :
Two new computers with ADSL connexion are installed at the coffee shop
of the Stella Maris center. They are available for accessing to Internet and e-mail applications.
Service is open to all residents and whoever needs it.
Hairdresser service :

Every Friday, from 18:00 to 20:30 pm, a free hairdresser service is
available at the Stella Maris Center.
