SHIPS' VISITORS :
A team of volunteers travel through Barcelona’s docks from Monday to Friday visiting the ships and their crews. In addition of welcoming to Barcelona’s harbour and asking for their needs, they offer them the services at Stella Maris centre, some information about the city and the port, news bulletins in different languages, publications related to the maritime world and some religious material.
These visits to the ships are one of the most important tasks of the Apostleship of the Sea, because it is the way to get in contact with the seafarers arriving at Barcelona’s harbour, and to offer them one warm welcoming and the assistance and help they may need.
TRANSPORT FACILITIES :
From 5 to 10 pm there is a free transport service for seafarers between the docks and the Stella Maris centre, allowing them to reach it and to take advantage of the services offered in there.
Apart from that, our building is within a walking distance to the city centre.
Any seafarer wanting to use our free transport service can phone to the Stella Maris Centre (934431965) or to the van driver’s cellular phone (636297255) asking for Ramon.
