WBA Results for 01-25-2006 (Day 3) ======================================================== ( 1- 2) Colorado 28 16 30 21 - 95 ( 2- 1) Rochester 25 27 24 26 - 102 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Colorado Rochester ----------------------------------------- Dave Pts J.McCall 23 D.Williams 31 Williams Reb A.Eaton 11 H.Van Brandt 13 (2nd) Ast 2 tied w/ 9 J.Bolk 8 Colorado looked great in the preseason and from looking at their record one would guess they are struggling. But, today was a close loss at Rochester which is nothing to be ashamed of and yesterday they handed it to Nebraska. The only surprise was a loss to Omaha on Day 1. Rochester on the other hand is looking good with a solid win today and a huge win on Day 1. their only loss was at Brooklyn which can easily be forgiven. ======================================================== ( 1- 2) Omaha 18 29 19 25 - 91 ( 3- 0) New York 22 22 24 26 - 94 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Omaha New York ----------------------------------------- Tom Pts G.Verholm 16 T.Kinsey 25 Kinsey Reb A.Michelson 9 T.Kinsey 11 (1st) Ast C.Henderson 9 2 tied w/ 7 Both of these teams are surprising. New York really struggled in the preseason but are 3-0 so far. The best part isthat two of those wins have been against divisional opponents. Omaha on the other hand had an impressive win on Day 1 over Colorado but lost to Arkansas yesterday and New York today. ======================================================== ( 0- 3) Nebraska 21 22 19 21 - 83 ( 1- 2) Long Island 19 27 25 44 - 115 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Nebraska Long Island ----------------------------------------- Kurt Pts T.Perkins 17 D.Hainge 25 Beck Reb 2 tied w/ 10 J.McCarthy 13 (1st) Ast J.Timmons 11 K.Beck 9 You could look at this as a good win for a struggling Long Island. But, I prefer to look at this as a bad loss for a struggling Nebraska team against another struggling team. ======================================================== ( 1- 2) Salt Lake 24 27 19 20 - 90 ( 3- 0) Brooklyn 25 29 17 28 - 99 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Salt Lake Brooklyn ----------------------------------------- Omar Pts C.Parks 24 O.Jefferson 28 Jefferson Reb B.Bangerter 14 A.Herbert 12 (1st) Ast A.Williams 9 O.Jefferson 9 I don't think that Brooklyn being 3-0 is a big surprise. What is a big surprise is how they have done it. In the preseason they had a high flying offense. They made lots of mistakes but they also scored and rebounded well enough to compensate. So, far during the season they have been opressive defensively, lead by Herbert's 3 steals and 3 blocks. But, they have been just average offensively. If they can find a way to keep the best of both worlds it could be something special... butdon't count on it. I expect this team to go back to their show time roots and lead the league in turnovers and be amoung the top in scoring and rebounding. ======================================================== ( 1- 2) Arkansas 20 18 20 20 - 78 ( 1- 2) Baltimore 31 35 26 25 - 117 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Arkansas Baltimore ----------------------------------------- Mike Pts J.Krueger 21 M.Ivey 22 Ivey Reb T.Kelly 8 A.Valente 9 (1st) Ast J.Krueger 8 A.Valente 9 Not much haschanged for either of these teams. We still don't expect a lot out of them. ======================================================== ( 1- 2) Alaska 22 21 19 25 - 87 ( 3- 0) Charlotte 24 35 18 17 - 94 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Alaska Charlotte ----------------------------------------- Maury Pts P.Parker 21 M.Coleman 25 Coleman Reb 2 tied w/ 14 T.McCree 8 (2nd) Ast S.Nicholson 8 K.Reed 11 Charlotte is playing ugly but they are winning. Alaska is stil loosing and they are going to wear out their players. Right now they have three players averaging 48 minutes and a fouth averaging 44 minutes. they can't keep that up. Expect this team to fall even further. ======================================================== ( 3- 0) Oregon 31 28 30 30 - 119 ( 0- 3) Miami 21 23 16 26 - 86 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Oregon Miami ----------------------------------------- Marquez Pts M.Houston 30 J.Nobis 16 Houston Reb M.Houston 14 O.Fatafehi 8 (3rd) Ast B.Stein 8 I.Edmondson 6 Oregon is not a surprise but Miami is. They actually looked pretty good inthe preseason, but it hasn't worked out that way. ======================================================== ( 1- 2) Sacramento 23 32 21 21 - 97 ( 2- 1) Boston 24 33 12 21 - 90 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Sacramento Boston ----------------------------------------- Bobby Pts J.Van Horne 25 M.Pitcher 21 Egan Reb J.Van Horne 9 S.Erickson 13 (1st) Ast E.Kamara 9 S.Erickson 6 Without Sheth any game Sacramento wins is a plus. This team was built around Sheth and with him out there is a big hole. ======================================================== ( 2- 1) Las Vegas 23 34 20 20 - 97 ( 1- 2) Cincinnati 31 20 31 24 - 106 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Las Vegas Cincinnati ----------------------------------------- Dennis Pts S.Redd 19 D.Evans 29 Evans Reb J.Sims 8 C.Bradshaw 10 (1st) Ast J.Sims 8 B.Sandler 13 This is just lottery poositioning. ======================================================== ( 0- 3) Seoul 29 17 23 22 - 91 ( 3- 0) London 24 33 20 19 - 96 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Seoul London ----------------------------------------- Sergei Pts E.LaMaitre 21 E.Nunez 23 Danilov Reb J.Siebert 11 S.Danilov 14 (2nd) Ast E.LaMaitre 6 S.Mahara 10 London being 3-0 is a shock. Until you are told that the three teams they beat are a combined 0-9! ======================================================== ( 2- 1) Cancun 21 36 38 25 - 120 ( 0- 3) Frankfurt 26 32 28 28 - 114 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Cancun Frankfurt ----------------------------------------- Parker Pts L.Gerson 23 M.Bennett 20 Mason Reb K.Mercer 11 K.Boice 14 (2nd) Ast P.Mason 8 Y.Vilasny 17 Actually this is a pretty good game for Frankfurt to only loose to Cancun by six. But, there are some rumors of contract violations in Frankfurt. ======================================================== ( 2- 1) Gabon 19 19 29 26 - 93 ( 3- 0) Paris 39 29 28 37 - 133 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Gabon Paris ----------------------------------------- Jim Pts J.Devine 23 S.Lio 24 Fox Reb M.Feldman 8 A.Lee 9 (1st) Ast R.Tango 5 C.Meyers 10 The only surprise here is that Jim Fox got the game MVP. ======================================================== ( 2- 1) Budapest 23 25 21 29 - 98 ( 0- 3) Andorra 26 26 19 22 - 93 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Budapest Andorra ----------------------------------------- Zachariah Pts Z.Salera 17 D.Corrigan 25 Salera Reb 3 tied w/ 6 D.Corrigan 13 (1st) Ast T.Cooper 4 R.Estrada 9 Remember when Andorra was a goodteam? ======================================================== ( 2- 1) Capetown 24 17 23 25 - 89 ( 3- 0) Albacete 24 18 28 21 - 91 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Capetown Albacete ----------------------------------------- Juwan Pts O.Mabruke 19 H.Jarvis 19 Bixby Reb O.Mabruke 12 J.Bixby 12 (2nd) Ast 2 tied w/ 6 T.Kane 6 This was a big win for Albacete. They are a franchise trying to prove that loyalty and winning can still go together. ======================================================== ( 0- 3) Mexico City 21 19 36 15 - 91 ( 1- 2) Toronto 35 24 24 26 - 109 ----------------------------------------- GAME MVP Ldrs Mexico City Toronto ----------------------------------------- Remi Pts O.Dasing 22 W.Jackson 22 Jeay Reb C.Nolan 13 S.Hill 12 (1st) Ast P.Merritt 7 R.Jeay 10 Toronto tried to protectthe health of Rice but he is just too fragile. ======================================================== 01-25-2006 ======================================================== Today's Double-Doubles ======================================================== A.Eaton, COL (1) 14pts 11reb H.Van Brandt, ROC (2) 17pts 13reb T.Kinsey, NY (3) 25pts 11reb T.Perkins, NEB (2) 17pts 10reb R.Base, NEB (3) 15pts 10reb J.McCarthy, LI (3) 10pts 13reb B.Bangerter, SLC (1) 13pts 14reb S.Nicholson, ALA (1) 16pts 14reb C.Mosley, ALA (3) 16pts 14reb M.Houston, ORE (3) 30pts 14reb S.Erickson, BOS (1) 14pts 13reb C.Bradshaw, CIN (2) 11pts 10reb S.Danilov, LON (2) 10pts 14reb H.Applegate, LON (1) 14pts 10reb K.Mercer, CAN (1) 19pts 11reb Y.Vilasny, FRA (1) 19pts 17ast K.Boice, FRA (2) 10pts 14reb C.Meyers, PAR (1) 13pts 10ast D.Corrigan, AND (3) 25pts 13reb O.Mabruke, CAP (2) 19pts 12reb A.Gordon, CAP (2) 16pts 10reb J.Bixby, ALB (3) 15pts 12reb C.Nolan, MC (1) 12pts 13reb R.Jeay, TOR (1) 18pts 10ast ======================================================== TODAY 'S HIGHS ======================================================== POINTS 3-POINTERS MADE ======================================================== 1)Dave Williams, ROC 31 1)Tony Dimateo, FRA 5 2)Marquez Houston, ORE 30 2)Omar Jefferson, BRK 4 3)Dennis Evans, CIN 29 3)Mike Ivey, BAL 4 4)Omar Jefferson, BRK 28 4)Maury Coleman, CHA 4 5)Lou Gonzales, ORE 26 5)Walt Jackson, TOR 4 ======================================================== REBOUNDS ASSISTS ======================================================== 1)Brad Bangerter, SLC 14 1)Jervan Timmons, NEB 11 2)Scott Nicholson, ALA 14 2)Kadeem Reed, CHA 11 3)Cory Mosley, ALA 14 3)Shermar Mahara, LON 10 4)Marquez Houston, ORE 14 4)Charlie Meyers, PAR 10 5)Sergei Danilov, LON 14 5)Remi Jeay, TOR 10 ======================================================== BLOCKS STEALS ======================================================== 1)Horace Colbert, SAC 5 1)Bobby Egan, SAC 6 2)Oman Fatafehi, MIA 4 2)Shane Strom, BRK 4 3)John Van Horne, SAC 4 3)Eric Manning, CAP 4 4)Leo Rice, BUD 4 4)Harold Gil, COL 3 5)Gordon Whitehouse, BUD 4 5)Ron Avery, NEB 3 ======================================================== TODAY'S STARS STATS ======================================================== 1) 37.4 Marquez Houston, ORE 30pts 73.7% 14reb 2) 35.1 Yuri Vilasny, FRA 19pts 100% 17ast 3) 30.7 Omar Jefferson, BRK 28pts 50% 4-3s 9ast 4) 30.0 Dennis Evans, CIN 29pts 52.4% 9reb 5) 28.8 Bobby Egan, SAC 23pts 73.3% 6stl ======================================================== TODAY'S GOATS STATS ======================================================== 1) 00.4 Nick Adams, ALB 2pts 14.3% 1reb 2ast 2) 01.4 Pat Stephenson, ARK 2pts 10% 2ast 3) 01.7 Luca McMillan, OMA 2pts 20% 1reb 2ast 4) 02.0 Chance Crowley, LON 2pts 0% 1reb 0ast 5) 02.1 Charles Cushman, NY 3pts 0% 1reb 0ast ======================================================== ©2006 Prime Time Sports
