 | Diputacions Links Just click a province to visit the Diputacions The provincial Councils are known as Diputacions. They are basically made of mayors and councillors from the different provincies. The Diputacions are not a catalan institution such as the Generalitat or the Concells Comarcals. They are a spanish institution, their equivalent catalan regions are the Vagueries, you can take a visual tour of the Vagueries in our Pictures section The Generalitat (the catalan government) is working in a new project which pretends to re-stablish the Vagueries.
