BARREL

The wear caused by the friction of the feedscrew on the inside of the barrel produces grooves in the entire surface which it is necessary to re-bore so that the plastic will have no obstacles in its path.
The largest grooves are to be found in the loading area (and can even cut through the barrel) and in the mixing pineapple. If this is the case it will be necessary to sleeve this area.
If it were necessary to re-bore more than 8 tenths of the diameter of the barrel in order to leave it without grooves, it would have to be NITRURATED.
The solution to the problem of the mixing pineapple is its removal and subsequent replacement with our system of FIXED MIXERS which prevent the appearance of grooves, improve the plastification and, in consequence, productivity, and considerably increase the working life of the barrel.
