FIXED MIXER

Our Fixed Mixer System has several advantages over the old pineapple mixers:
1 Reduced barrel wear
2 Longer-lasting
3 Increased productivity
4 Reduced electricity consumption

1 The traditional pineapple mixers force the materials to pass through a difference in diameter between the axle of the feedscrew and the pineapple (not less than 4mm) which means that the material (be it p.v.c. or any other plastic) has to pass through a minimal space for a considerable time through a single area where the material does not flow. This results in the material being forced through an area which does not continue the pitch of the feedscrew and which rotates in one spot causing the wear of the barrel due to the friction of the feedscrew, without forgetting that any plastic is extremely abrasive.

2 What is achieved is that the axle of the feedscrew maintains the same pitch from beginning to end without any interruptions that change the flow of the material towards the mould reducing the friction between the feedscrew and the barrel.
3 Since the material has no obstacles, the material flows constantly thereby increasing productivity.

4 Obviously the continual, uninterrupted flow of material results in the motor not having to make any extra effort since there is neither a pineapple mixer, nor does it work empty.

IT SHOULD NOT BE FORGOTTEN THAT THE EXCLUSIVE PURPOSE OF BOTH THE PINEAPPLE AND FIXED SYSTEMS IS TO MIX (COLOURS; ACCELERATORS, DYES, ETC.) AND THAT THE TECHNICAL PROBLEMS ONCE ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR MANUFACTURE HAVE BEEN SOLVED BY HUSIPLAS.
