There's another way to draw the miym ميم, very convenient when joining it to other letters:
First draw, counterclockwise, a triangle like a
haa# هاء, but smaller. The end of stroke 3
must protrude
a tiny bit beyond stroke 1.
Withouth raising the pencil from the paper,
draw the hook 4, so that the curve
hides the hole of 1-2-3. Then go right down for two squares.
A common error is drawing too big a loop, so
that the fourth stroke can't fill the hole.
The result looks then like a
loop haa# هاء 
.
You should always use this form of the miym after a slanting stroke, as those in chapter miym ميم Ligatures.
