These two words might be read najmu lfajr نجم لفجر, "the morning star".
Here najm نجم means "the star of", #alfajr ألفجر means "the morning".
Both words have a
crocodile mouth.
These two words contain eight letters:
The first letter of the word najmu نجم is a ن, namely a
tooth. As explained
in section Upside Down Teeth, teeth are sometimes drawn
bottom-to-top. This tooth is joined to
a crocodile mouth by the red
descending line you see in the figure
on the right. I've drawn the loop of the miym clockwise here;
you may draw it counterclockwise if you wish, but
please don't let the hole show, as I did: first make
a loop with a very small hole, then cover the hole
with the red sixth stroke.
I might have written the knot of the
miym ميم
just after the lower jaw of the crocodile, as in the word
, but this time I've placed it one square
further to the left.
Both ways are OK.
These are the strokes of the second word,
#alfajr ألفجر.
This time I've started the second stroke at a higher point, but it's still two squares high. This lifts the final ر, which I felt to be too low in the try above (apparently I have overcorrected now as the ل seems too high this time... I'll try halfway next time).
You may tweak a little the sizes in squares and positions of the letters. Whenever I say "this must be two squares high", understand that you may make it shorter or longer to make it harmonize with the letters around it. Sometimes, you must.
