Armbands

A way to make an armband tattoo is chaining together copies of the same Arabic word or words: Most of the time, Arabic script has some straight strokes on the top and curves on the bottom. In the above designs, the same words have been repeated upside down. This makes the armband wider and more regular than normal Arabic script. Of course, there's no need to do that if the writing style is wide enough:
