Elvish

The sample on the margin is Elvish script, AKA "Tengwar", invented by J.R.R. Tolkien.

In theory, this script is completely artificial. In practice, it is mostly written using European medieval calligraphic techniques, and most Tolkien fans can read it, so sometimes it works "as if" it were real.

Any language can be written in this script.
