Sanskrit

This is a Spanish name written in the Devanagari alphabet:

 (#ind421) - image #ind421

The Devanagari alphabet is used to write Hindi and Sanskrit. I can read some Sanskrit, so I know the alphabet well enough to be able to write names in this script. But please don't ask me to translate anything into modern Hindi, I don't know a word of the language.

Tattoos in this alphabet are popular in Spain because some soccer star has one. I don't think anybody from elsewhere will ever again order one of these, but you can check out the Spanish side of this page for more pics, anyway. Click the "this page in Englsh" icons to get back here. Ah, and the sanskrit samples page too.

I don't actually speak much Sanskrit either. I happen to be able to chant the vishnusahasranama stotra, which I learned ages ago, but that doesn't help me to know how to ask what time is it in Sanskrit.

Prices: like naskh.
