La Marina is a well developed urbanisation with all amenities within easy reach. There are several banks, 3 public swimming pools, snooker club, bowling club, supermarkets, national health doctor, private clinic, pharmacy, newsagents and plenty of bars and restaurants (English, Spanish, German, Italian and Chinese). There is also a good bus service to all local towns and markets as well as to the beach in the summer.
Golfers will find several golf courses within easy reach, the nearest being La Marquesa situated at Rojales about 5 miles away.  Las Ramblas, Villa Martin a championship course and Campoamor are within a 20 minute drive. The famous golf courses at La Manga are about 45 minutes drive away.  Plus a golf course is now planned to be built on La Marina itself.
The area offers plenty of Blue Flag sandy beaches which are safe for bathing.
The Costa Blanca has one of the best climates in the world with 320 days of sunshine on average each year.

Aspe, Sax, Agost, Pinoso, Monovar are in the Alicante province and are situated approximately fifty minutes drive from the airport and the local beaches of the Costa Blanca.  It is a beautiful area with mountains and hills and, as the name Pinoso suggests, these are covered in pine trees. This is Rural Property on The Costa Blanca

It is a mainly farming area, the main crops being grapes for the local wines (there are bodegas in most villages selling their products), almonds and olives  The local industries are quality shoes, leather bags, salt and marble (Pinoso is the fifth richest town in Spain because of its salt & marble).
There are many local shops supermarkets and restaurants (try a menu del dia) and the local bars are always worth a visit for the conversations and the tapas.   This is real Spain with friendly locals who, although they speak no English, will help with a laugh at your poor Spanish. (get a feminine ending to a masculine word and you could be saying something very rude.)
This not the Spain of Benidorm.  If you want that you have to drive there (approximately only 1 hour down the motorway). This is rural inland Spain at its best. Tranquillo.
This area has the best of both worlds. On one hand peaceful rural tranquility, yet on the other hand you are only a short car journey from the bright lights (if you really want that), and the Cities of Alicante and Murcia.
