***** UT2004 Spanish Menu Fix by R4YD3N (1.1)

If you install original UT2004 in spanish you will know that menus contain a lot of errors.

This file from R4YD3N fix the bad translation from the controls menu in spanish.

Even that there are still a lot of options in the server adjustment that doesn´t work when you set up a play in the spanish installation.

I have fixed them all but always is the possibility of have left some unfixed.

***** Jailbreak 2004b, SP2 a.k.a. E.C.E.     (Team Jailbreak)

Jailbreak is a team game.

Also like CTF, a map has a red team base and a blue team base.

Your team's objective is to frag all the players of the enemy team.

You'll know when you've fragged everyone because each time a player is fragged, he is sent to jail: a special sealed area of the map.

Once all of the enemy players are in jail, your team scores a point and the round is over.

All players will now respawn and a new round begins.

Just like other team games, when a team's score reaches a certain limit, they win the match.

The mod is called Jailbreak because it's possible to "break" your teammates out of jail!

Somewhere on the map, usually inside the enemy base, is a release switch.

Activate this, and your fellow teammates are released from jail.

***** OLTeamGames - CTF4 Version 1.0.1.1     (Greg "Overload" Laabs)

The concept behind CTF4 is simple: Capture the Flag, but with 4 teams instead of 2.

Why would 4 teams be better than 2 you ask? Simple: More action, more choices, more strategy.

With four teams the objective becomes more than just attacking the enemy flag and defending your own.

You must think carefully about which team to attack.

Because other teams can get points without ever attacking your base (they can attack the other teams instead) - it becomes important to watch what all the teams are doing.

Just because you have a strong defense does not mean you will win!

How To Play:

1. Player spawns with full health, armor, weapons, and ammo.

2. No player can fire or be damaged during the first few seconds of play.

3. Kill all other players on the board (or opposing team players for TAM).

4. Each Kill may have bonuses attached, such as adrenaline or health

5. The last player alive receives a point (or team point).Then a new round begins.

6. The more points a player/team has, the less health and armor they spawn with

7. Score enough points (i.e. 7) and the match is won.

***** BR4 v.1.0            (David Catmull)

As the name suggests, this is a 4-team version of Bombing Run.

Not only are there more teams, but there are more balls, and more rules about who can pick them up.

Building on the 4-team features added in the TDM4/CTF4 mod, BR4 similarly takes Bombing Run to the next level.

Each map can hold up to four teams and eight balls.

The four-team scoring options - Distribution, Designation, Subtraction and Elimination - are present here as well.

You also have the Team Balls option introduced in Bombing Spree, but with an extra dimension only possible with four teams. Here you get three options:

    * None: All balls are neutral and may be picked up by, and scored against, any team.

    * Pickup: Team-colored balls can only be picked up by players on the matching team.

    * Scoring: Team-colored balls can only be scored against players on the matching team.

               You cannot pick up your own team's ball, but you can block it when an enemy shoots it at your goal.

You can shoot at any team ball that you cannot pick up, causing it to reset.

A ball has 100 health points, which reset whenever it is picked up.

***** Bombing Spree v.2.0.1 (David Catmull)

Bombing Spree is Bombing Run with multiple (up to four) balls.

It sounds like a simple addition, but it does change the game play significantly.

 

***** 1on1 Ultra-Duel v.2.0 (Blitz)

A 1on1 deathmatch mod (and team deathmatch) with enhanced AI, a custom HUD and ending stats. 

Ultra-Duel is a 1on1 mod with emphasis on offline play, but also containing a customized HUD and per-game stats of interest to casual duelers. 

In its current form, UD is not a competition mod, but more of a "practice" mod. 

It's ideal for offline play, or dueling online with friends.

Ultra-Duel has many features which make it more than a simple deathmatch. 

Ultra-Duel bots play a more tactical game, favoring major powerups more than normal, and even learning from their mistakes. 

If you ambush an Ultra-Duel bot, it will be more alert the next time it passes the same way. 

Bot movement includes various jumps and dodges,including lift-jumps. 

Like the "Boss" game, bots are adaptive, improving in skill as the game goes on, but with some exceptions.

Their aim doesn't arbitrarily improve (though don't expect them to miss too many times in a row). 

Bots also become more agressive or more conservative based on game situations.

Other features include a redesigned HUD, with a prominent scoreboard that's color-coded to indicate rank and spread. 

A countdown clock is present for timed games, and a normal clock is present for untimed games. 

Finally, a stat board is always displayed at the end of the game, sumarizing kills, deaths, suicides, etc., as well as major pickups. 

A side-by-side display makes it easy to compare player results.

The Main difference is that the attacking monsters will respawn in specific locations and NOT in the PlayerStarts.

The maps will have a "defend this position" structure, where the monsters respawn in far locations and the players have to stop them from going further in the map.

This is deathmatch using ONS maps, with vehicles enabled of course.

 

***** Capture Strike v1.1       (Nicholas Rhead)

Capture Strike is a fast paced blend of Capture the Flag and CounterStrike.

Teams take turns at Attacking or Defending and battle until one team is dead, or the Attacking team captures the flag.

 

***** Greed v1.0                (Mysterial)

In this new gametype, kills don't get you points. Instead killed people drop a coin.

You must pick it up and take it to a drop point to score it.

However, to score faster, you should hoard your coins, as the scoring is like this:

1 coin = 1 point; 2 coins = 2 points; 3 coins = 4 points; 4 coins = 7 points ...etc.

The drawback is when someone dies and they're holding coins, they'll drop all of them!

So you must decide whether to go for the score or try to get that extra kill.

It is possible to be played in any map (BR, BR4, CTF, CTF4, DOM, DM, JB,  VCTF...)

****** Hold It Down v1.1.0      (DAMN|EvilJesús aka Jeffrey Bakker)

The game uses DM maps and starts off like a DeathMatch, but once first blood is spilled, the killer will then have the flag.

The flag holder will regenerate 5 health and 3 adrenaline per second, as well as Unlimited Double Damage for as long as he/she can hold the flag.

The flag holder will score one point for every 2 seconds that the flag is held for.

The match ends when the goal limit is reached (default is 75 points).

 

***** KotH2K4-King of the Hill Beta1 (TheForgotten)

King of the hill using DM, DOM, CTF and BOM maps.

Maps can have more than on Hill Zones, to change the zone you need to login as Admin or be playing offline

All official ut2004 maps have at least one zone in the initial install and New Zones maybe created using console commands and onscreen menu (see below)

 

***** LTS VCTF                      (John Apenbrink "Brinkster")

This is a combination of last team standing and vehicle capture the flag.

You only have one life per round so use it wisely.

A round can be one by either capturing the flag or by killing everyone on the other team.

 

***** Elimination 2k4 Version 1.10   (Q)

Elimination 2k4 is a package of 3 gametypes:

1) Elimination

   This gametype is a modified Last Man Standing (There is an added option in       Elimination that allows you to make it so that the players do not start with

   all weapons and instead start with a default loadout and pick up other  weapons from the map.          

2) Team Elimination

    This is a team version of Elimination where each player gets X number of lives.

3) Elimination Tournament Edition

    This a round based version of Elimination. 

    In each round, players have a certain number of lives (as specified in the     rules). 

    When there is only one player left, the round ends. 

    At the end of each round, scores are evaluated and compared to the score     limit. 

    If there is a winner then the game is over. 

    Otherwise, a new round begins. 

    The game will also end if there has been a time limit specified and it     expires.

    Players score points in the following ways:

        10 points for a 1st place finish in a round

         6 points for a 2nd place finish in a round

         3 points for a 3rd place finish in a round

         1 point for a kill

        -1 point for a suicide

 

***** Node Siege, v1.02              (NorahJones)

It has similarities to Domination or Assault, but it is played on Deathmatch maps. 

The "node" relocates randomly periodically. 

The first team to secure the node defends it, and scores points until the other team outnumbers them there for a period of several seconds, at which point they become the defenders.

It's not just "Domination with a single point." 

Attackers have to do better than simply rush in and step on a point to keep the defenders from scoring.

 

***** Invasion RPG version 1.21       (zwacka, aka brian e.)

Invasion RPG is a gametype for UT2k4 that is a modification of the standard Invasion gametype with RPG-style enhancements.

You gain experience for killing monsters.

Once you gain a certain amount, you level up, increasing your health.

This makes the game more balanced than normal Invasion.

You can fully configure how much health you start with and how much is gained for leveling up.

Slave Master is a free-for-all gametype, like Deathmatch.

When a player is killed, they respawn as their killer's slave.

Slaves have a ghost-like appearance and cannot receive nor deal damage.

When a slave picks up items, they are given to his master and the slave earns "favor."

If a slave can earn 100 favor, he has "earned his freedom" and respawns as a player again.

Another way for a slave to earn favor is by "tagging" enemy masters.

Slaves can shoot a tagging orb by pressing primary fire.

Once a player has been tagged, the slave's master can easily see the location of the tagged player.

The objective is to enslave every other player in the match.

Slave Master comes with a tutorial! Just to go Instant Action, select Slave Master, and then click on "Watch Game Tutorial."

Team Freeze is a teamplay gametype in which players are frozen instead of killed.

A frozen player cannot move or shoot, but they can cycle the list of teammates via the "FreezeCam".

There are really only two ways for a player to be freed: A teammate stands next to him/her for 3 seconds, or the entire team is frozen, resulting in a "shatter".

Shatters occur when all players on a given team are frozen.

Scoring works as follows: Freezes/Thaws = 1 point for player.

Shatter = 1 point for team.

This mod is still very much in beta. Give it time.

 

***** Flag Domination 2004      (David Catmull)

Welcome to Flag Domination 2004!

For those that are new to this, the idea is, as you may have guessed, a cross between Capture the Flag and (Double) Domination.

A map has either two or three flags, each of which starts in a neutral location somewhere in the middle.

Each flag has a designated spot for each team to capture it, and (except in Scavenger or Incursion mode) flags may be stolen once they are captured.

Capture points are marked with a rotating hologram showing the flag's symbol. Press the M key while carrying a flag to see the route to your capture point. The HUD will also show you in which direction the capture point lies, and in Vehicle Flag Domination the radar map will hilite the capture point's location.

The aim of the game in an Overload match is to deplete the enemy goal's health by shooting it.

Once a goal's health reaches zero, the goal "overloads", and the attacking team scores a point.

The goal is to score the most points by overloading the enemy's goal, while keeping your own goal safe.

But there's a twist -- both teams' goals regenerate their health by 10 points every second by default, and team-mates can shoot their own goal to regenerate its health.

You'll need to play as a team if you want to break through the enemy's defences and overload their goal, while keeping your own goal safe!

** Manual  optimization and configuration in some ".ini" files that didn´t fit or save correctly from game menus.

I have tried to make better the game experience with these adjustments.

If you feel a loose of yield you can try to reduce the graphic adjustments from the game menu.

***** Folder creation   "_Security INI files"

Security folder of “.INI” files

If the game crash maybe for an incompatible combination of gametypes and mutators, or you have modified any parameter in these files or in your server and don´t remember how to get back, you can recover the “.ini” files in that folder by copying these in the game “System” folder and overwriting the bad ones.

That way you wont have to reinstall the game.

You will start again with the game and the pack clean as I set up in v.3.0.

 

***** Folder creation   “_UT2004 change lenguaje”

** Folder   "_UT2004 english" :

In order to change of the Spanish language to the English.

Copy and paste the file ut2004.ini in the folder system.

** Folder   “_UT2004 español” :

If you have installed in english and want to pass to spanish simple copy and paste the file "UT2004.ini" in the game "System" folder overwriting the previous one.
