They are located at two different sites in Algaida municipality, at the region Pla de Mallorca, they grow right in the central part of the island.
On the way to Pina town, Son Reus vineyard settles nearby the rich medieval houses which named the place after the conquest, erasing the original Butibalausí given to that hamlet (alqueria) in Muslim ages. Lands there are reddish (call vermell) and away on the horizon appear the Serra de Tramuntana mountains.
Son Roig Vineyard belongs to a small estate placed in an idyllic landscape of softly undulated fields, spotted with almond, carob and fig trees. Sheltered by Randa and Son Roig mounts, soil is made of clay and limestone, optimal for vines to absorb suitable moisture.
In our vineyards we follow Organic Farming criterion, which means respect for land cycles and the use of organic fertilizers. From pruning to harvest, thorough controls are performed, both for plant’s health and grape quality.
The climate is Mediterranean, the average temperature is 18ºC, with mild winters and dry hot summers.
